Warehouse support mission to Ark. Dept. of Health extended 18 days

~ 10 Guardsmen will work at Little Rock ADH warehouse through Feb. 18

WHO:        At the request of the Arkansas Department of Health through the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management,

WHAT:      10 Arkansas National Guard Soldiers from the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team will have their mission extended to support the Arkansas Department of Health at an ADH warehouse on South Shackelford in Little Rock.

WHEN:      Guardsmen will have their duty extended through Feb. 18, 2022.

WHERE:   Little Rock, Ark.

WHY:        The 10 Guardsmen, initially called to duty Jan. 3 at an ADH warehouse in Pine Bluff, Ark., were expected to serve through Jan. 31. ADH requested an 18-day extension to allow time to properly inventory, prepare, and distribute test kits and personal protective equipment at the Little Rock warehouse. The Guardsmen transitioned from a warehouse in Pine Bluff to an ADH warehouse in Little Rock on Jan. 21.

The Arkansas National Guard assumes support roles to augment civil authorities, where needed and directed by the Governor, to help in a crisis.
