30 Guardsmen to support ADH with COVID-19 case management
~ Soldiers from 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team called to State Active Duty
WHO: The Arkansas National Guard
WHAT: By order of the Governor, has mobilized 30 Guardsmen from the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team
WHEN: Nov. 16, 2020
WHERE: at the Arkansas Department of Health, 4815 W. Markham, Little Rock, Ark.
WHY: Arkansas National Guardsmen will assist the Arkansas Department of Health with COVID-19 positive case management in line with state and federal guidelines outlined by the designated ADH supervisor. They will report to ADH Tuesday, Nov. 17.
In addition to the 30 called to duty today, 25 Guardsmen are still providing the following support to state agencies:
- Five Guardsmen from the 77th Theater Aviation Brigade are providing logistics support to distribute personal protective equipment.
- Twenty Guardsmen from the 87th Troop Command are providing COVID-19 Vaccination Call Center Support at the Arkansas Department of Health.
The Arkansas National Guard assumes support roles to augment civil authorities, where needed and directed by the Governor, to help in a crisis.
