WHY: Arkansas National Guard was requested by the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to provide medics to answer phone calls and return phone calls from calls that might be missed, due to call volume, in support of the Arkansas Department of Health’s Emergency Operations Center.
A needs assessment will be conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health March 19 to determine if the Soldiers will be needed further or if they can be released from state active duty.
