20 Guardsmen mobilized for state active duty with Ark. Dept. of Health
~ Medics will serve in call center, assisting Arkansans who have COVID-19 questions

WHO:
  The Arkansas National Guard

WHAT:  By order of the Governor, is mobilizing 20 Army National Guard medics from the     39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team to state active duty

WHEN:  March 15, 2020, thru March 20, 2020

WHERE:
The Arkansas Dept. of Health Emergency Operations Center, Little Rock

WHY:        Arkansas National Guard has been requested by the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to provide medics to answer phone calls and return phone calls from calls that might be missed, due to call volume, in support of the Arkansas Department of Health’s Emergency Operations Center.
A needs assessment will be conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health March 19 to determine if the Soldiers will be needed further or if they can be released from state active duty.
