1st Battalion, 142nd Field Artillery Regiment hosts first Family Day in over a decade

On June 21, 2025, the 1st Battalion, 142nd Field Artillery Regiment hosted its first Family Day in over a decade.
We’re incredibly grateful to the families and friends who took the opportunity to visit and support their Soldiers. Your presence means everything, and it’s moments like these that remind us what we’re serving for.
Families had the opportunity to visit their Soldiers in the field, explore the training environment, and learn about the equipment they've been working with during Annual Training 2025.

They were also given the rare opportunity to witness three Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) fire a total of nine rockets during a live fire mission. Families observed how the Fire Direction Center coordinates and executes a fire mission, offering a firsthand look at the precision and teamwork behind these operations.
After the demonstration, guests were invited to ride in an MLRS vehicle and explore a static display up close. They also got to see High Mobility Transport Trucks (HMMTTs) in action during live ammunition resupply operations.
We are especially grateful for the unwavering support of our families. You are the backbone of the 142nd, and without you, we couldn’t accomplish the mission. Your strength and encouragement make all the difference.
