Training for the Unexpected

This week, pilots from Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma, brought a T-1A Jayhawk, T-6A Texan II, and T-38 Talon to Ebbing Air National Guard Base to train our 188th Wing firefighters on how to safely rescue pilots in the event of an in-flight emergency or aircraft mishap.
Vance AFB regularly uses our airfield and airspace for training operations, and this hands-on instruction ensures our first responders are prepared to act quickly and effectively if needed.
This training highlights the strength of Total Force partnerships—working together across active duty and Air National Guard units to keep our airmen and our missions safe.
