Fort Chaffee Joint Maneuver Training Center
It is utilized by all Department of Defense components and a variety of local, state, and federal agencies for maneuver training, live fire exercises, river crossing operations, and urban combat training. FCJMTC is one of nine National Guard Regional Collective Training Capability sites in the nation capable of conducting Company Level Maneuver and Platoon Live Fire training.
Fort Chaffee operates one of twelve National Guard Training Support Centers with a variety of Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) allowing Soldiers and military units to train personnel at full spectrum operations using simulation devices in a training environment.
Fort Chaffee continues to upgrade current facilities and add ranges and facilities to accommodate brigade-sized training and simulation exercises.
FCJMTC is a 64,590 acre premier training site in western Arkansas, which is centrally located in the United States. Designated as a regional selective training capability, it is 1 of 9 NG installations nationwide that have that capability. It is also one of only two installations nationwide that has a major river with property on both sides. This is key for some training used by Department of Defense (DoD) components such as special operations and warfare units from all services, such as the Marines, Navy, Department of Defense civilians, non-DoD civilians, US Army Reserve, and DoD civilian training. The convoy live fire range offers units the capability of platoon-level live fire exercises along a 2,500 meter course including stationary and moving targets. Shortly, center will also be able to provide units-capability to conduct platoon-level training. FTCMJTC is also utilized for training by numerous local, state and federal agencies and departments and houses eighteen tenants, both of which contribute significantly to the op tempo. Obtaining an ID card or CAC: ALL MILITARY CAC RECEIPENTS MUST BE IN MILITARY GROOMING STANDARDS FROM THE NECK UP IN ACCORDANCE WITH AR 670-1. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN A MILITARY UNIFORM TO RECEIVE A MILITARY CAC. Dependents: If your Sponsor is not with you at the DEERS Office, you will need a current DD Form 1172-2 signed within 90 days or a valid Power of Attorney. The DD Form 1172-2 must be signed by the sponsor in one of the following ways: 1. With a DEERS Verifying Official. 2. Digitally signed by CAC. 3. Notarized with a wet signature. Identification (original documents or certified copy, no exceptions): You must present TWO valid/current forms of identification from the Lists of Acceptable Documents from the Form I-9. We cannot process your request without this documentation. 1. One photo ID is required. 2. One second form of ID required with or without photo. Expired id’s will not be accepted, no localized work ID’s will be accepted, current ID must be no more than 30 days out of expiration to receive new ID unless going tdy. Lost or stolen CAC’s (original documents or certified copy, no exceptions): 1. Must have two forms of valid ID. 2. Must have a Memorandum for Record or a DA Form 4856 by your NCOIC or Commander of your unit. If you’re a civilian, the memorandum must be from your supervisor. To add a new spouse in DEERS/RAPIDS (original documents or certified copy, no exceptions): 1. Spouse’s Driver’s License or State ID with new last name. 2. Marriage Certificate. 3. Birth Certificate. 4. Social Security Card with or without new last name. To add a child in DEERS/RAPIDS (original documents or certified copy, no exceptions): 1. Must bring in original letter from Registrar’s Office stating child’s name, enrolled as a full-time student, semester attending, and expected graduation date. Student schedule is not accepted. 3. Fort Chaffee Joint Maneuver Training Center Cemetery Access
When ranges are closed, visitors may access cemeteries on Fort Chaffee Joint Maneuver Training Center. All visitors must check in with our Fort Chaffee Range Control Office at 479-484-2272 before visiting cemeteries. During 2023, Ranges will be closed: April 07-09 - Easter May 27-29 - Memorial Day July 2-4 - Independence Day September 2-4 - Labor Day October 09 - Columbus Day November 11-13 - Veterans Day November 24 - Thanksgiving December 23-26 - Christmas The following is a review of our standard cemetery decoration guidelines: a. Decorations may be placed at any time provided they do not interfere with grounds maintenance or training operations. b. Floral easels and other floral arrangements are permitted. Flowers will be removed from graves and disposed of by cemetery personnel when they become withered, faded or otherwise unsightly. c. Announcements concerning cemeteries will be through local media or by contacting the POC and placement on a mailing list. d. The introduction of plants, statues or commemorative items other than headstones and footstones is at the discretion of the Facility Manager and must be requested prior to placement. The Post has no liability for theft or damage to property in the cemetery. e. Access to Langston is by appointment only, due to its location in our surface cleared zone. f. Reservations for burial must be placed in advanced with the POC due to space availability and cemetery preservation. 1. You must be a descendent of or by marriage to family already interned in that specific Post cemetery. 2. United States Veterans and spouse to include one generation.
