ARNG to open new MWR on Ft. Chaffee
~The Arkansas National Guard will host the grand opening of the Fort Chaffee Morale, Welfare and Recreation Facility on Sunday, September 9, 2018.

WHAT: Requests the honor of your presence at The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Fort Chaffee Morale, Welfare and Recreation Facility
WHEN: At 10 a.m. on September 9, 2018. Facility tour begins at 10:30 a.m.

WHERE: Fort Chaffee Maneuver Training Center, 1585 Roberts Boulevard, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72916
WHY: The new 17,000 square foot, Fort Chaffee Morale, Welfare and Recreation Facility’s (MWR) mission is to provide to our service members many of the services and activities found on an Active Duty installation. Services are provided to Soldiers and their families as well as authorized community partners. MWR exists to provide excellent quality programs and services aimed to boost morale and resiliency, while strengthening our troops and those who support them.
The Fort Chaffee MWR is a non-profit organization and funds generated are used to provide services to the service member and community. MWR also provides a cash rebate to each Arkansas National Guard unit based upon the unit’s end strength as of 30 September, each year. These rebates are used for the benefit of all members of the receiving unit.
