~ 10 Soldiers’ duty extended at Dept. of Health call center
WHO: The Arkansas National Guard
WHAT: By order of the Governor, has mobilized two state active duty two medics
WHEN: March 20, 2020, thru April 2, 2020
WHERE: Arkansas Dept. of Health, Little Rock
WHY: The tasking from the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management is for two doctors/physician assistants to assist the Arkansas Department of Health in the operation of a physician’s call center.
Additionally, the 10 Soldiers at the ADH call center mission had their mission extended an additional 30 days through April 19, due to the needs assessment conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health.
The total number of Soldiers and Airmen on state active duty is 28. Six are from the Arkansas Air National Guard’s 189th Airlift Wing, and 22 are from the Arkansas Army National Guard’s 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
The Arkansas National Guard assumes support roles to augment civil authorities, where needed and directed by the Governor, to help in a crisis.
