Pre-Deployment
Preparation and communication are the keys to a successful deployment. Our training will give you the tools necessary to make the deployment process a little easier. Topics cover areas such as Financial Management, Children Coping with Deployment, Communication and Relationships, Stress Management, Anger Management, TRICARE, VA, and Military OneSource. Service Providers will answer your questions and give you great resources and information to use before and during a deployment.
During Deployment
A deployment can be a stressful time for Service Members and their Family. Family Members learn to juggle their day to day tasks as well as the tasks the Service Member would normally assume. Spouses or grandparents play the roles of both Mommy and Daddy. And the stressors associated with being separated from a loved one can leave Family Members feeling drained and lonely. The Yellow Ribbon Program offers casual, retreat style events for the Families of deployed Service Members. Family Members visit with other Families during a day of fun and relaxation. In the morning, adults and their children enjoy fun, family activities. During the afternoon, adults sit back, sip coffee, eat dessert and visit with each other and our Service Providers while the children enjoy fun and educational activities with our licensed childcare providers.
Post Deployment
The return home from a long deployment is an exciting and sometimes stressful time for Service Members and their Families. Roles have changed; people have changed. Spouses are more independent, children have grown a little older, and the Service Member must make the transition from warrior to civilian. The Reintegration phase of the deployment cycle provides resources and information to make this transition a little easier.
