Guard’s Aviation Brigade to hold ceremony for Soldiers departing for deployment
~Soldiers leave for a 9-month deployment to the Middle East


WHO:    F Company, 2-211 GSAB (Air Traffic Control) with the 77th Combat Aviation Brigade, of the Arkansas National Guard

WHAT:     will hold a deployment ceremony for approximately 35 members and their families 
WHEN:    Sunday, June 17, 2018, at 8 a.m.  (Media interested in covering the event should plan to meet media escort at the Camp Robinson front gate visitor center at 7:30 a.m.)

WHERE:    at the Army Aviation Support Facility located on Robinson Maneuver Training Center in North Little Rock.

WHY:    The Soldiers of the 77th Combat Aviation Brigade are departing from their headquarters at Robinson Maneuver Training Center in North Little Rock for their mobilization station at Ft. Hood, Texas for the first leg of their nine-month deployment to Kuwait and other locations in the Middle East.

Their mission in Kuwait will be to conduct air traffic control in support of operations throughout the Middle East. This deployment is in accordance with the United States’ longstanding bilateral defense cooperation with Kuwait, and this partnership promotes security, stability, and our mutual interests in the region.

The 77th last deployed overseas to Iraq in 2016.
